Description
Unmalted barley roasted at temperatures of up to 240°C. Water is used to extend the roasting time and for quenching and cooling to prevent scorching.
Bitter Strike roasted barley has an intense astringency and bitterness. It gives your beer a deep, dark colour. Combined with other dark roasted malts, it adds wonderful complexity to stout beers. It has no enzymatic potential.
Produced at our facility in Knapton, North Yorkshire.
