British Breeze – Maris Otter

Using this base malt in brewing is remarkably simple. This malt is produced from the Maris Otter variety, a two-row winter malting barley that is one of the oldest varieties still in use today. Our maltsters tailor it specifically to the needs of craft brewers, making it extremely easy to brew with. British Breeze Maris Otter Pale malt delivers a distinctive flavour with a deeper golden colour and a recognisable sweet biscuit taste. It also adds fullness to your beer, making it the perfect base malt for creating traditional ales. This historic barley variety is malted in small batches at our Boby maltings in Bury St Edmunds. Perfect for use in ales, IPAs, pale ales, porters, and stouts.
